Dr. N. Murugesan, MD.,DNB., is the inspiration to achieve excellence in EAST COAST HOSPITALS LTD. He hails from a village near Thirukanur, qualified as General Medicine from Coimbatore Medical College and specialized in Nephrology from Apollo Hospital Chennai under Dr.M.K.Mani, the renowned Nephrologist.
Dr. N. Murugesan was instrumental in establishing the first Dialysis unit/ Nephrology unit / Renal Transplant unit in Government General Hospital Puducherry, where he remained a consultant in Nephrology for decades.
Dr. N. Murugesan has many publications to his credit in National and International journals. His varied interest include topics like Salt Toxicity, Diet therapy, Insulin Toxicity and Eugenics. He sets in many official committees of Government of Puducherry, Pondicherry University, Indian Society of Nephrology etc.
Dr. N. Murugesan is the Chief Nephrologist of EAST COAST HOSPITALS. He, as the Chairman of EAST COAST HOSPITALS, pioneered many firsts in Pondicherry, First dialysis unit in Pondicherry, First MRI, CT and ESWL in Pondicherry, First Stem Cell Therapy unit in Pondicherry.
